My MIL used to do that all the time. She had a smaller size Mason jar that she would use to chop up fresh Parmesan and then put a lid on it to keep it in the fridge. My blender won't use a Mason jar though. :(

Cool find..though I think I remember my grandmother doing that growing up. Keep on getting those cool finds, I really am enjoying my blog hopping.
