THE WIND CHILL WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EST FRIDAY. A WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 6 PM EST FRIDAY.
VERY COLD ARCTIC AIR WILL REMAIN IN PLACE THROUGH FRIDAY. THE VERY COLD TEMPERATURES WILL COMBINE WITH WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS TO PRODUCE DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS OF 10 TO 30 DEGREES BELOW ZERO TODAY THROUGH FRIDAY. THE COLDEST PERIOD WILL OCCUR TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING WHEN WIND CHILLS OF 25 TO 30 DEGREES BELOW ZERO WILL BE OBSERVED.
THOSE PLANNING TO VENTURE OUTDOORS SHOULD USE COMMON SENSE AND DRESS WARMLY, MAKING SURE THAT ALL EXPOSED SKIN IS COVERED.
A WIND CHILL WARNING MEANS THE COMBINATION OF VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE DANGEROUSLY LOW WIND CHILL VALUES OF AT LEAST 25 DEGREES BELOW ZERO. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA OR DEATH IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
It really is COLD. I went outside to clean the snow off my car this morning and even though I bundled up...hat, scarf, hood, down coat, boots and gloves, when I came inside my cheeks were bright red! LOL! But it is January afterall. :)
Here's a few photos I took outside today...well, the icicle photo with the blue sky in the background, I took from a window inside, lol. The other icicle photo is the same group of icicles but taken from outside. :) The little Arborvitea trees are in our side yard.

Hi Nicole! It is freezing, isn't it? Think large parts of the country are experiencing extreme colds right now. But you've got it REALLY cold. Here I am feeling bad about it being 18 degrees this morning when my son left for school. At least we don't have negative numbers, snow, or icicles hanging anywhere! Yikes! LOVE the photos, though. That was really cool for this southern girl to see.

I'm into week 3 now of my project 365. I don't picture myself making it all the way, but I'm loving what I'm getting so far. It's making me take photos that I wouldn't have otherwise thought of, and that I love.

Oh, brrrrrrr!!! I was just up in Canada and I had the honour of bundling up...haven't done that in awhile...lol
I LOVE the pic you took of the icicles from the inside...the blue sky is stunning. WOW!!! I would totally print that and hang it on my wall.
